EMPLOYMENT

Consultant, 1982 - Present. Electronic navigation and precise positioning research and development, computer-assisted cartography, and geographic information systems. Specializing in analysis and software design for signal processing, navigation, positioning, and position display for Loran-C and Global Positioning System receivers. GPS receiver designs for navigation and time and frequency applications. Contracts with clients in the United States, Canada, Hungary, Israel, and New Zealand. Projects include DGPS quality control software, GPS/GIS aerial mapping of television cable system RF leak levels, GPS receiver design, map projection, coordinate system, and geodetic datum transformation software. Field work includes Loran-C receiver testing in Europe and Scandinavia, GPS demonstrations and testing in Israel, GIS teaching in New Zealand, and GPS/GIS mapping projects in Nicaragua and Honduras.

Director of Research, Advanced Navigation, Inc., Rockville, MD, 1980 - 1982. Loran-C navigation avionics software development and Loran-C propagation research. Design of navigation processing software for ANI/ONI 7000, a multi-chain avionics Loran-C receiver. Studies of Loran-C skywave interference and signal reflections for the U.S. Coast Guard.
